I will not call myself a professional defensive player but,yes i can defense pretty well with my current 2.1m inverted rubber(they are pretty slow).

I'm now thinking to take myself to greater level...

So which type of rubber should i use and of what thickness and why do people around suggest me long pips but i prefer normal inverted one's (will it be good) and btw...sir, i have seen that video in which you explain the difference between different type of rubbers, as i remember you mentioned long pips couldn't spin the ball well, so why people suggest to use long pips.

Hi Yash,

The Long Pimples reverse the spin on the ball and they also make it easier to control the ball when it is coming fast to you. A lot of defenders play with long pimples on the backhand side.

You should give it a try and see how it feels for you.
