Hi Mashhood,

If you are playing defensively, you will need a slower blade that will give you more control.  The same applies for rubber.  Not too fast but one that will allow you to generate spin.

I wonder if there is a rubber and blade that you are looking at?

Perhaps some of our readers have an idea for you.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

Here are some good defensive rubbers:

1. Stiga Chop and Drive

2. Butterfly tackiness chop (one and two)

3. Gambler Reflectoid

4. Stiga Neos tacky is good too

As for blades I would recommend an ALL, ALL-, Or DEF+ so you don't have too slow of a bat
