How do you topspin a half-long backspin push/serve which just goes beyond the table without hitting your bat?

Hi Oliver,

If the second bounce is off the table then you can make a topspin.  Your stroke will need to be quite vertical though to get the ball up over the end of the table.

This Ask the Coach video response will also help you . Below the Table Level.

Snake Shot

A snake shot is a type of stroke which is specifically used against a drop shot. It is usually loaded with a heavy spin so that the opponent finds it difficult to counter. The type of spin can be backspin, sidespin or topspin depending on your choice. You need to make a movement after hitting the ball to confuse your opponent.
