Hey coaches,
Im trying to vary my pendulum serves with topspin, sidetop, sideback spin serves but can't seem to execute a convincing dead ball serve. Every time i try to do that it either ends up as very obvious no-spin serve or with just enough back-spin for the opponent to push it short.

Hi Jack,
You need to practice the action so that it is similar to the spin serve and is therefore deceptive.
Try hitting the ball with the same action but make the contact closer to the handle of the bat which s moving slower and will therefore generate less spin.

No Spin Serve
It may sound like a bad idea but the no spin serve can be effective when put together with a range of spin serves. In fact, this is a must have in your arsenal of serves.
