Is the dawei 388a-4 a good rubber?

i just got mine. when i topspin to topspin with someone,i almost always get them out. i do well with backspin but topspin and sidespin is a lot more difficult. dawei is a type of normal rubber.

Hi Jonathan,

I am not sure about this rubber.  It sounds like a fast rubber.  If someone has used it they may be able to help you.

DO BEGINNERS need fast rubbers?

Definitely not.

So beginners need controlled and spiny rubber.

I just bought it from the Coburg TT club. They said that it was sutiable for a beginner.

Then it should be OK.  If you used a light pimple bat before that it will take a little getting used to but it will be better than the pimpled bat.

So the next rubber i buy can be fast and spiny, or should it still have so decent control too. condisering dawei 388a-4 is a bit faster for a beginner, but i have gotten use to it now and can do decent counter hits and loops. backhand definetly needs works.
