Hi Andrew,

You need to play theĀ Forehand Topspin Off Backspin. The more backspin that is on the ball, the more vertical your stroke needs to be to help lift the ball. The other key is to ensure you have a brushing contact.

The forehand chop is a defensive stroke played away from the table. It is mainly used by defenders but can also be incorporated into an attackers game when forced away from the table.
