Strokes
When I am practicing counterhit, I tend to make a finer contact like the topspin, instead of driving the ball. I am not sure as to how a counter hit stroke is different from a Topspin stroke (both forehand and backhand). My accuracy is not very good with top spins - other players say that it is because I am trying to go to more advanced strokes without learning basics.
I have watched your counter hit videos many times. But I am still not able to guess the exact difference between a counterhit and a topspin. How exactly is a counterhit different from a Topspin (both backhand and forehand)?
Hi Shovik,
The topspin stroke is just extensions of the counterhit. The counterhit has a slightly flatter contact on the ball and a smaller swing. There is still a little topspin on the counterhit. But, if you are making mistakes with the counterhit then decrease the topspin and increase the flat contact till you become consistent.
