Strokes

Hi Guys,

Imagine a situation in a rally where you have to block the first topspin ball. Now when will you snatch the initiative from your opponent and start counter topspinning the ball? This brings me to the initial question that when should we learn counter topspins and in which situations should we be using blocks and how to interchange between a block and a counter topspin?

Kind regards,

Mudit

Hi Mudit,

This is usually a question of time.  If you have a lot of time then you should attempt to make a more attacking stroke like the counter topspin.  If you don't have time then you can use the smaller and more time efficient stroke of the block.

You can interchange between the two depending on the time you have for any given ball.
