I have horrible consistency compared to the rest of my friends, and I have a grade sport tryout soon. The first thing the coach tests is consistency. The tryout is in one month.

Then spend some time focusing on this consistency. To get better with this area of your game think about making sure your technique is correct. Once you have technique then you will start to be able to get the ball on the table more often.
If you spend the next month focusing on this you will get a lot better at it too.
