Mental Preparation
When i lose the first set i loss all my confidence what to do?
Hi Abhishek,
It is important during a match to focus on your tactics and thinking about each point. If you do this you will start to play each point better rather than thinking about what has happened in the first game or what might happen in the next game.
With this you will start to remain calmer for each point. It is not even a matter of confidence it is just a matter of working for that particular point you are about to play with the tactic that you are working on.
Do you hesitate to play your topspin in matches even though you’ve practised it endlessly in training? You’re not alone. In this video, we’ll show you how to recognise the right ball to attack and build the confidence to go for your first topspin when it counts.
✅ Know when to attack (and when not to)
✅ Avoid the 3 biggest mistakes players make
✅ Train smarter with decision-based drills
✅ Develop confidence under real match pressure
This episode is all about helping you take the initiative in rallies—not with risky winners, but with smart, controlled topspin shots that give you the upper hand. Learn to trust your technique, commit to your decisions, and stop waiting for the “perfect” ball.
