Dear Coach,

Is it safe to clean rubber using alcohol (pure alcohol that sold in pharmachy or store)?

Thank you.

Hi Henry,

I have used the Alcohol wipes to clean rubber which can be OK if used from time to time.  I haven't used pure alcohol. Perhaps someone with some experience with this can help... or a chemist that can explain the reaction it may have.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

I have used 99% isopropyl alcohol for forty years. I find it the best cleaner when used with a fine sponge and left to evaporate. I've never noticed any detrimental effects but I wouldn't use it more than necessary. Water is safer but the alcohol is nice before a tournament, optimum spin. Cheers
