i used to use a slow rubber and a little tacky too... and my chops were next to unreturnable and they were my speciality... but with the increasing strength and considerable improvement in my backhand drives, backhand open, and also my forehand topspin,my coach has given me fast rubbers on both sides in order to make me a better attacking player... now the problem i face is, with the sudden change in the rubbers, all my chops n cuts seem to be flying out of the table...how must i deal with this? is there any change(subtle or not) that i should bring about in my chop action?? please help out asap have a tournament up soon.... thank you...

Hi Azhar,

If you have faster rubbers you will need to adjust your stroke to make it slightly more vertical as you won't need as much forward momentum to get the ball back.
