Is it really neccesary when backhand chop to end in front of your knees? because when i do chopping i cant frequently end inforn of my knee but every chop goes inside.

Hi,

If something else is working well for you then stay with it.  As long as the stroke has some basics it can work.  You may have found some short cuts that work for you.

When learning it is best to get the basics right.
