Chinese Pendulum Serve

Serving

 Hello PingSkills!

My coach wanted me to assess the top Asian player's serve's locations. Since I use the pendulum serve, I looked at shake hand players, Ma Long, ZJK, etc. They served mainly short to the FH and middle, seemingly avoiding a BH flick from their opponent. However, I don't know how to add this to my own serve because nobody at my level (Intermediate-Beginner) really flicks, so I still don't know where to serve to.

Thanks!

Hi Jiecheng,

That is a good place to focus on with your serving. Even if your opponents aren’t up to that level as yet, keep working on serving to those areas because it will hold up for a long time through your development.
