Changing blades

Hi guys. I've been giving this question alot of thinking. I'm been looking around and it only really gives definitive answers when to change rubbers but not blades. I'm thinking as an intermediate player whos still developing their shots, should I only be changing blades when it starts getting really worn out? Reading your tips always help me out for my seasonal comp.

Hi Leslie,
I haven't changed my blade for 19 years. However, I don't recommend that if you are playing serious competition as it does become softer.
If you have a good quality blade it will last several years and you can keep just changing rubbers.
If you have a blade from a pre-made bat it will depend on the quality of the blade.
