Changing blade weight and balance

Equipment

Hello

I have a Timo Boll Spirit that I like very much. I really like the the weight and balance of this blade.

I recently bought an
Andrzej Grubba blade.

I bought the Grubba to help me develop my strokes better being that the Grubba is a ALL blade and the Spirit is an OFF blade.

The Grubba does not feel the same when I swing it. It feels a little lighter and not as head heavy. It's hard to explain, but it does not fell as nice as the spirit.

Other than lead side tape is there any other way to increase the weight of a blade or change it's balance. I basically would like the Grubba to feel the same as the Spirit.

Any thoughts?

Hi Casey,

You could try adding heavier rubber.  This will also increase the weight and may be a more even distribution than lead tape.

Other than that you may also get used to the weight of the new bat after a little while.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
