Change the ball

Hi Alois,
Why can't we change a ball during a game as in tennis they play with several balls and if the ball goes away from the table why we have to get it ourselves.

Hi Aasim,
At the top level there are slight differences between balls that can be felt. It may seem really pedantic but it can make a very small difference.

Also I think that in table tennis players can use the whole area of the court so it would be difficult to have ball boys and ball girls. I also think that as the court is not very big we don't really need them anyway.
