Change rubber

Hi Alois,

I play with the Pingskills Touch and Mark V for about 4 months. Everybody in the Chinese club tells me my rubber is too soft, not fast enough  for my play and that I should change. I still play with Mark V until today and feel comfortable. However, I can see that my strokes are slow and the spin I put on the ball is 'clean' and easy to return. My Chinese partners have all ultra-fast rubbers and almost all strokes have awkward spins.  I can hit 100 counter hits and 20-30 topspins consistently with my coach, should I change to a faster rubber now?

Hi Matthias,

Sounds like you have outgrown the Mark V.  Might be time for a change.  Take a look at some of the rubbers the others are using and maybe even try them out during training and see what feels right for you.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
