I have selecta spf rubbers on my bat, 1.5 mm sponge on black backhand and 2.0mm sponge on red forehand. I used this bat years ago when played for junior local league side. I have just started playing again but need to change the rubbers as they are dead but selecta spf not made anymore, what is a modern day equivalent to selecta spf giving similar speed, spin and control.

cheers

Hi John,

I don’t know the Selecta SPF rubber.  I think Mark V is a good starting rubber now.  It will give good control and still enough spin to work with.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
