Can't relax my shoulder during a forehand stroke

hi coach,

i 'm facing a problem that i always tighten up my arm ,forearm and specially my shoulder muscle during a forehand stroke.its slow down my speed to hit ball,how can i solve this problem?

Hi Francis,

This is a  common problem.  In training focus on this in particular.  Do some topspins where the only thing you are thinking about is getting your bat from the start position to the finish position as smoothly and with as little effort as possible.  Try not to focus on where the ball is going to start with.  This will give you the feeling you need to make the stroke.

After a while you can think about where the ball is going and switch between the two things.
