Can\'t Hit With Power

I can't seem to hit the balls (high enough) with power & authority.  Players above my level observed that I brush the ball more rather than hit it flat.

How can I correct this? Thanks.

Hi Gerardo,

To hit the ball fatser you need to hit it flatter.  The more you brush the ball the slower the ball will travel.

Experiment next time you are making a topspin and try different contacts on the ball.  Try some thicker and some thinner contacts and see which is ideal for you.

You need a certain amount of brush to ensure you get topspin on the ball, but too much brushing makes the ball too slow.
