Blocking a 3rd ball

When my opponent serves i push and he hits a forehand topspin towards my forehand ? i fail to counter/block the ball in this case what are the possible things i can do to counter or block the ball or counterspin it?

Hi Swaraj,

The best option to start with is the block.  It is important to watch the ball carefully when you push it and then when he hits it to see which direction the ball is coming.  Often when the other player attacks we lose focus because we worry about the ball that is about to come.
