Blade "Handle" sealing

Hi coach, id just want to ask if its ok to lightly seal the blade with just a woodworking clear varnish on the blade handle? i want to do this because after i play or during, the sweat of my hand sips on the natural finish of my blade.. thanks coach..

Hi Voj,

It won't effect the performance of the blade.  However, just make sure that it doesn't make the handle too slippery.  If it does you can always use some sandpaper on it to rough it up again.
