Equipment
Hi,
Which is the best ball to play?
Hi Prahadhesh,
With the Celluloid balls I think the best was the Nittaku. With the new Plastic balls I am not sure.
Anyone who is using the new balls may want to give their opinions on what they have used and how good they are.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Hi Alois,
I also have some questions about ping pong balls :
1. Actually what is the legal size of ping pong balls ? I'm confused since i found ball with 40 and 40+ size in the markets.
2. Are celluloid ball still being used in major tournament right now ?
Thanks
Hi Ernest,
The balls that are labelled 40+ are the new Plastic balls. They are still supposed to be 40mm in diameter.
International tournaments are now using Plastic balls. A lot of local tournaments are still using the Celluloid balls.

Hello,
I am curious to about the size. Almost all the new plastic balls are 40+.
Maybe they aren't that perfect and one ball can be a little bigger or smaller than an other one.
