Bent Paddle

Hey I just invested in a new paddle. During play I was playing pretty deep and my playing partner dropped one just over the net. When I went for it I jammed my paddle on the table. During this process I obviously caused some damage to my paddle. There is absolutely no wiggle in the handle but there is a slight bend where the handle connects to the blade. Is there any fix to this, is this a major issue, or should I order a new one?

Hi Clay,

I would say that it is probably broken if it has a bend in it.  If it is just a dent in it then it should be OK.  Be careful not to swing too hard as the handle may come off if it is actually broken with a bend in it.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
