How to train ball placement
Hi Tharun,
You can start by putting some targets on the table in the areas that you are wanting to play. Think about playing outside of the areas that your opponent is ready to play from, essentially the middle of their forehand and backhand boxes. Think about finding areas outside of this.
Once you start to find these positions, remove the targets and see if you can still maintain the ability to get the ball to more awkward positions on the table for your opponent.
See if you can transfer this to a match situation as well.
Question actions
The backhand topspin off backspin is often considered a harder shot than the forehand. In this week's training session we focus on utilising this shot to make a 3rd ball attack. If you can master this your opponents will find it difficult to stop you attacking and you will constantly have them under pressure.
