Backspin serve

Serving

Every time i serve a backspin pendulum, the back does not have massive backspin. The contact of the ball must be lower or higher away from the table, or nearer or further away from the table.

Thanks

Hi Khang,

The key part is how you contact the ball.  Try to make sure you are brushing down on the back of the ball or brushing under the ball.  This is what generates the backspin.

Practice this away from the table to start with so that you are getting the contact right.  Then you can step up to the table and try to get the spin.

The Float Serve

The float or no spin serve is an effective tool to have in your bag of serves. It adds good variation to your serves and can often set you up with an easy 3rd ball opportunity.
