When it backspin on the ball, can I have more open racket and touch the ball on the hit?

When the ball has backspin, you can open the angle of your racket more to lift the ball over the net. You can do this with either a push or a topspin stroke.
The forehand chop is a defensive stroke played away from the table. It is mainly used by defenders but can also be incorporated into an attackers game when forced away from the table.
