Backhand topspin

hi Alois,

i play still 2 years tabletennis and i learnt really quickly.

But my strokes, especially my backhand stroke against backspin is very unsafe!

What shall i do to get more spin and safeness in it?

Hi Andreas,

Think about the contact of the bat on the ball.  Make sure you are getting a good brushing contact to generate the spin.

Aim high over the net, the topspin will bring the ball down.  That will give you a good margin for error over the net. 

Then like everything it is about practice.

This is one area my opponent knows as my weakness... hope it works in today's tournament final match !

Why do i keep losing in matches even if my opponent is weaker? Just because i lack confidence?

This can be the difference or your opponent may not have good shots but have a good ability to win points with tactics or by doing something that you are not used to.
