Serving

Hi Alois and Jeff,

I have been using the forehand tomahawk serve and I find it really effective specially for left handed players like me because my opponent would be confused where the ball is gonna turn when I put sidespin. But when my opponent gets used to it they can already expect where the ball is gonna go so I wanna learn how to do the backhand tomahawk serve and how to use it effectively.

Thanks,

Jerome

Hi Jerome,

Start in the same position as the forehand tomahawk.  Start your swing coming through forward.  At the last second, turn your bat to the right and contact the ball with the backhand side of the racket.  It can be a really effective serve to learn, especially if you have the same start as with the forehand tomahawk.
