Is an aggressive backhand style considered an effective style at high levels of play?

Hi Leonardo,

It certainly is an effective style now. You will often see players moving around the middle of the table and playing backhands. You even see them over the forehand corner playing the backhand sidespin flick.

Tactics Against a Good Short Pusher

Use a long push or a flick to open up the game against someone who is beating you at the short game. It might not be your favourite way to play but if you are losing the short game you need to mix things up. In the long run you certainly need to improve your own short game.
