backhand smash with penhold grip.

hi!!! thr....i used to play with shakehand grip initially. But after watching some videos i switch myself to penhold grip. But i m getting problem with backhand smash. Please  provide me some tips regarding this.

Hi,

The first thing is that in most cases you should use your forehand to smash.  If you are playing against a lob, you should have enough time to move into position to make a forehand.

If you are attempting a Backhand smash you need to get you bat up high to start with. As you eill have found this is an awkward posiiton. From there, get your bat to go forward straight towards your target.

Remember this is a dificult stroke and not one that should be attempted too often, especially with the Penhold Grip.
