How can I improve my backhand smash?

Hi Khushank,

The way to improve any stroke is to keep practicing it. However this is one stroke that it might not be worth practicing too much. The reason is that if the ball is high enough to smash, you are better off moving around and playing a forehand smash which is much safer and much more consistent.

If you do get caught out, you need to play a kind of backhand counterhit but try to get your bat up high and swing through the ball hitting it quite flat and hard.
