Backhand counterloop

Hi pingskills could you do a video on the backhand counterloop. Obviously a difficult shot to master but I find it difficult just to get the ball on the table.

Hi Tevia,

Thanks for the suggestion. We will add it to our list. As you mention this is a hard shot to master. However the principles will be the same for the forehand counterloop.

Take a look at our topspin to topspin lesson and see if you can apply some of these principles to your backhand counterloop. Some things to consider are that you won't need to lift the ball because of the topspin your opponent has applied so try to swing more forward than for a normal topspin off block.
