Hi Alois/Jeff,

i was wondering how you could control the backhand in both wings

For example

2 right handed players backhand to backhand then the other player switches it to the forehand side of the other player, Not a punch but more of a topspin/flick just like Zhang Jike

i want to train this technique, i was wondering if you could give me any details on switching wings by using backhand topspins.

Hi Luigi,

We do have a Premium Ask the Coach response to this Backhand down the line.  The main points are that you can hit the ball later or you can angle your wrist slightly to change the direction.  If you can, get a one month Premium membership and you will be able to watch this answer and a whole lot more.

  3. Finish Position: Completing the stroke in a way that prepares you for the next shot.

Additionally, we discuss how to adjust your bat angle if the ball goes long, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the same start and finish positions without coming across your body.

Extremely difficult to do I would of thought. You need to practice and practice very hard. To be a better player and win more you need to train extremely hard and be very pedantic about how, you train-play to get better. This is a great drill even though it is hard. What do you think Alois?

It is a good thing to practice so that you have options.
