Strokes
hi i am a p.e teacher i have just started to teach table tennis for beginners at the school what wourld i start with and how wourld i progress it with the b/h drive can you let me know thanks
Hi Devlin,
I would start with the 4 basic strokes. The forehand and backhand counterhit and the forehand and backhand push.
The backhand drive is just one of these strokes.
Make sure they can do these well over the first 6 months to a year of their training.
The banana flick has become one of the most important returns in table tennis. It allows you to attack almost any short ball and places your opponent under immediate pressure. Still it is a difficult stroke that takes a lot of practice to master.
