Hi guys,

Is there a brand of anti spin rubber that you would recommend?

I just bought Tibhar Ellen Def but after doing a quick rubbing test, it feels like a normal tacky rubber to me.

Thanks,

Milou

Hi Nathan,

I don;t have nay recommendations here.  I am sure someone will have one for you.

Some of the anti spin rubbers do have a little bit of grip on the surface.

Depends what you want to do with your antispin. I use yasaka antipower and that's very good if you intend to attack a lot close to the table.

Dr. Neubauer's Gorilla has dampening effect sponge which is really disturbing to your opponent.  Further, more spin your opponent put, more disturbing spin reversal effect it will produce.  By the way it not an LP, smooth surfaced anti rubber.

Hi Nathan

I actually started using Ellen Def rubber this year, and personally I love it. (red rubber with 1.5 sponge) Addmitedly, when I first bought the rubber, I was a little disappointed by the fact it had so much grip; but after a few weeks of playing, the rubber has lost most of its friction.

What I like most about the rubber is that its very easy to smash a backspin ball. If you decide to try it, just keep in mind, you have to come somewhat underneath the backspin ball with this stroke, and that it won't be as fast when compared to normal rubber.

Regards
