Hi Pingskills! How can i fix my habit that i'm afraid of hitting a table? Everytime when my practice partner serves a not really spinny sidespin, although it is long but it is a little short and low. When i'm about to topspin it, i stopped and let the ball off the table...

HI Xarius,

This is common.  Try to watch the ball carefully all the way and track it from the servers hand.  Get close to the table and swing slowly at first.  You will start to be able to huge the length of the ball better after a while.

You can even get someone to feed you some multiball in this area so that you get used to judging the length of the ball.
