A few questions

Well since my family doesn't have much money and all, and I can't really get a job right now even though I'm 17, I was wondering if the "TT500 Table Tennis Table" is good enough for the price and if it will actually work for a decent amount of time.

I was also wondering about a basic/intermediate type of paddle. I looked at your equipment page for the Stiga basic one but I can't find one that is sold in the states, and buying something through international shipment takes quite some time and even more money, somethings I don't have.

I was also wondering if you could add a video that deals with a bit of variations in serving. I've been trying to do some basic spin serves with the same technique that a lot of decent players use but I can't really understand the technique. It's just so far that the hit, bounce, bounce video can take me.

That's all.

Thanks.

Hi Alex,

Stiga will have something similar to the Energetic and Carbotech in the States.  Just look for something that Stiga rates as similar.

We have made Serving Secrets Revealed which has a lot of different serves and detailed explanations on how to do them.  The DVD goes through techniques for different types of spin such as how to put backspin, sidespin and topspin on your serves.

If you can, get yourself a copy of the Serving Secrets Revealed.  It will really hep you with your serving.

All I can say is its great that you've taken up the time to play the sport, Thats all that really matters. A helpful hint however, if you go to your local youth center to see if they have a table tennis club there. That would be a perfect place to start to improve your skills and increase your game, plus it makes the sport more interesting to play.
