I am player from India and i have been selected for the cbse national games.Do you think if it is a good tactic if we serve short and then start a 3rd ball attack going wide of the opponent.

Hi Swaroop,

Firstly congratulations on your selection.

I think the 3rd ball tactic is important to improve your game.  The placement of the 3rd ball depends on each opponent you play.  You can go wide against a player that doesn't move well.  Try different positions for your 3rd ball against each opponent and see which works.

its important to know what you are going to serve..what spin you are doing...so that u can be ready and set up a 3rd ball attack...it will be foolish to serve a loose ball and then you loop in your 3rd ball.....
