Hi coaches!

Even I am a  beginner, I used to play with fast racket which I lost it recently. I didn't pay attention on which tenergy was on the bat, but the bat was very heavy and fast stiga cn7. It was very very fast racket. I do many blocks during the game, my style is blocker and I often use push. My opponents usually couldn't cope with my fast blocks(counterhits). And with my former racket I could do very spinny shots. Now I have butterfly zoran primorac off-, tenergy 05fx. It is not fast enough. But with this racket I can receive serves better.

I can't change wood and rubber at the same time. It will be very expensive for me. What do you suggest, is it enough to buy fast rubber to get faster racket? Or it won't be fast if I don't change the wood?

Hi Ardak,

Wow, that still sounds like a very fast bat to me! However I think that the rubber has a bigger impact than the blade, so if you want to speed up your setup, I'd start by trying to get a faster rubber.

If anyone has some suggestions for Ardak please leave a comment.

it looks like you've learned your shots with an extremely dynamic and fast bat. So probably you have very short gestures / shots, that are not suited to any slower racket setup. I think you would have more to win overall by adjusting to your current setup than to look for faster material. But if you really want someting faster, it'd probably be cheaper to get an OFF++ blade and keep your rubbers, which are quite fast already.

Than you all.  I am trying to adjust to my current setup. By the way, I have found out that my former blade was stiga CC 7.

Hi coaches!

I changed my blade. From Zoran primorac off- to Ovtcharov Carbospeed off+. Rubbers are same. Now I feel that my new blade is much faster. But this time I have another problem. Strokes are faster but they are not spinny. Especially I can't do  fast spinny topspins. By Primorac I could do spinny topspins but they were no fast enough. What do you suggest coaches? Buying the blade stiga CC7 is the only solution?

Hi Ardak,

You can work on generating more spin with the blade you have now.  Focus on brushing more and allowing the speed of the blade to generate the speed.  It is possible to play a topspin with more spin with the blade you have.

Thank you very much, coach! The movements I use to do very spinny topspins by Primorac off- doesn't work for Ovtcharov Carbospeed.  Does it mean that my technique is wrong?

By the way, is it important where we stick the black rubber and red rubber? I mean the two sides of the blade.

Hi Ardak,

The sides for Black and Red don't matter at all.

It will only be a small adjustment with the new blade to make the same spinny topspin. Decrease the speed of your swing or tilt the bat forward slightly.

Thank you very much coach!!!

I understand that I need adjustment.  At every next training I feel that my topspin is getting better. I decreased the speed of my swing, it was the key moment for me.  I am getting happier with my new blade.

By the way, is there any professional players who play with Ovtcharov Carbospeed?

Great to hear you are progressing.  I am not sure if anyone uses the blade. Other readers may be able to help.
