Equipment
Hi
Im about to join a table tennis club and my current bat is a £20 butterfly.
if i were to get a new bat should it be; an expensive premade or should i make one myself?
Alex
Hi Alex,
I think the next step you have a couple of options. You can go for either of your options, the high end pre-made bat or the low end custom bat. If you want to spend the money go for the low end custom bat because you have more options with it. They usually have a better quality wood that you will be able to reuse easier.
In the PingSkills range the ones we would recommend are the PingSkills Rook as the high end premade bat or the PingSkills Touch with Mark V.

The thickness of a table tennis table is the most important aspect of a table to ensure you get a true consistent bounce. Other things to consider are the net, portability, and storage space.
