Equipment
Hi Alois,
What's the difference between traning balls and tournament balls ? Do they basically have the same quality, speed, spin, hardness and bounciness ? Based on my experience, training balls give a different feels compared with tournament balls and I need several adjustment when I'm moving from training balls to tournament balls. So why manufacturers keep producing training balls?
Thanks
Hi Ernest,
Usually the training balls are the balls that aren't quite built to specifications. So instead of throwing them away they sell them at a cheaper price as training balls.
In training it is sometimes better to have a lot of balls to train with and the financial outlay for good quality balls may be too high.

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
