Hi Dilena,

The question I have is why you want to change.  If you just find the Japanese more comfortable then that is fine.

If you have been playing for many years then staying with the same grip is probably preferable.

If you do change grips, you will find forehand techniques are very similar.  The main changes you will have to make are with the backhand.  It is much harder to play an attacking backhand stroke with the Japanese penhoid.  You will also need to think about using more footwork to get around and play more forehands.

  3. Finish Position: Completing the stroke in a way that prepares you for the next shot.

Additionally, we discuss how to adjust your bat angle if the ball goes long, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the same start and finish positions without coming across your body.

Whether you're a beginner aiming to build a solid foundation or an advanced player looking to refine your technique, this comprehensive guide is designed to enhance your game.
