I have a friend currently in Australia who has been playing at The University of Queensland, I was wondering if you have a dedicated club open to the public or know of other clubs in Australia...?
Hi Mike,
It’s great to hear about your friend's interest in continuing their table tennis journey in Australia. We don't have a club as we try to help players online.
The University of Queensland indeed has a table tennis club, typically open to students and sometimes alumni and staff, but for a more public option, there are plenty of clubs across the country that welcome players of all skill levels.
In Brisbane, where the University of Queensland is located, a popular choice is the Brisbane Table Tennis Club. It’s one of the largest in Queensland and offers a range of activities from casual play to more competitive leagues and coaching opportunities.
I recommend checking out Table Tennis Australia’s official website by using the Club Finder for a comprehensive list of clubs and their offerings. This can be a fantastic way to meet new people and improve table tennis skills. Hope this helps your friend find the perfect spot to play.
The thickness of a table tennis table is the most important aspect of a table to ensure you get a true consistent bounce. Other things to consider are the net, portability, and storage space.

I thought that you guys had your own club. Don't you or Jeff give private lessons? I was thinking that when I travel to Australia, I would like to take a lesson from you guys.
