Hi coach!

I am struggling to find a training partner. Players who are playing better than me doesn't want to train. I think I can find a beginner training partner if I suggest that I will train him. But... one mate tried this in the past. He says that if I train beginners my game worsens and it will get harder to play vs better players. What do you suggest?

Hi Ardak,

I think there is a lot of value that you can get out of training with someone that is a lower level than you.  It is more a matter of finding what types of training you can do.

For example, play only to their forehand side for a drill while they play anywhere.  This evens up the training and will provide a good challenge to you.
