Senior or Junior competition

Hi,

Well I'm a girl and I'm 16 years old. I play in the boys competition now with 3 other boys. But two of them turned 18 so they've to go play the senior competition. And some say that I should start playing the senior competition. What should I do? Stay in the junior competition with the one boy left and find 2 other teammates, probably from another club because we play quite higher than the 2nd junior team does. Or should I start playing the senior competition?

Thanks

Hi Izzy,

I think the ideal solution is to find a competition where you are in the middle of the pack.  This way you are playing some better players and also some players that you can learn to win against.

See which one of these competitions fits the criteria the best.

I play in both junior and senior competition. Senior is more fun in my opinion. I get to play against much more different styles of play, and they are more experienced. Junior competition is mostly speed and topspin play, which I like for improving my technique with speed. I would go with senior competition.
