Just recently heard about this blade from butterfly “Revolda” as I understand it it’s made from plant fibre and although I can see this could be considered wood it seems to me it’s a composite material man made so surely the ITTF RULES need updating to include wood composite . This seems a new revenue Avenue that Butterfly are trying to drive down to give us all another way of spending money with them that’s over $300 .

Your thoughts if possible

keep safe.

Hi Nigel,

It would comply with the rules.  Only 85% of the blade needs to be made of natural wood.

I tend to agree it sounds like it is a bit of a gimmick but I haven't tried the racket so I can't say with any certainty.

If anyone has tried the blade can you give us your impressions.

Tone is in Your Fingers

I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
