Hi Coach,
i can do all the attacking techniques but i can't return serves well because every one of my friends that I play against have at least 5 different serves. What should i do?

Hi Dola,

Returning serves is one of the hardest parts of the game. You need to try and read what type of spin they are putting on the ball. Once you recognise this, you will know which shot to play to return the ball. Focus on seeing the contact of the bat on the ball when they are serving. This will tell you the type of spin.

Ask one of your friends to help you in practice by serving one of their serves you can't return over and over again. Make sure they serve the same serve so you can keep adjusting until you can return it. Then ask them to serve a different serve over and over until you can return that one as well. Then you can have them mix up the serves and try to return them.

We also have a comprehensive course for premium members called Receiving Secrets. This has helped a lot of people become better returners of serve.

I hope these tips help you out.
