Dear Alois,

I am already using PingSkills Touch Mark V Bat for the last 3-4 months. We have a group of good players who plays 3 or 4 times a week. After Mark V my game has improved but I am still struggling to make a mark . The problem I am facing is returning a high speed + spin serve.  Also my opponents responses are quicker with lots of spin. Gki euro jumbo and similar butterfly rackets are being used by my peers.

My question is what do you recommend .

1. Continue with pingskills Mark V for somemore time to improve the racket response.

2. Buy a faster premade / custom Carbon racket? If yes please suggest .

3. Any other suggestions?.

4. Also which ping pong ball you recommend ; 3star balls 40mm is what we are currently using.

Thanks

Mohammed

Hi Mohammed,

I would stay with something the same speed or even go for something slower rather than faster.  If you are struggling to retune fast and spinny shots then going for something faster will only make it more difficult for you.

For a ball it is best to use a 3 star ball if you can... and yes 40mm is what they use widely now.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
